CHENNAI: AIADMK interim general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Thursday accused
Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin of acting in “a dictatorial manner” in order to ensure that he and his family get all powerful.
He said the chief minister was in a make-believe world, thinking people appreciate him, instead of focusing on the more serious issue of maintaining law and order in the state.
In a statement, Palaniswami said the chief minister, senior officers and ministers were attempting to save the inept government by claiming that the projects launched and conceived by the previous AIADMK regime and the investments it attracted were their achievements.
“I warn that people affected by the rule of the DMK family will rise and chase them away,” EPS said.
Palaniswami questioned the silence maintained by the police, except for registering a case of ‘mysterious death’ on December 8 in the office of a YouTube channel that had been reportedly purchased by “a person associated with the ruling party”. There were reports of footage of surveillance cameras being removed and police did not visit the office, he charged. “I urge the government to bring the offenders, whoever it may be, to justice,” EPS said.
