Implement welfare schemes on time: CM
Gumla: Chief minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday said Gumla and Lohardaga are among the vulnerable districts in the state which are facing issues of exodus and human trafficking because of the lack of livelihood means and delay in the implementation of welfare schemes of the government.
Soren further said mitigation of these issues will depend on the speedy implementation of all government schemes and development projects. The chief minister made the remarks during a review meeting on the execution of development projects in the two districts. Top bureaucrats, including chief secretary Sukhdev Singh and DGP Niraj Sinha, attended the meeting held in Gumla on Tuesday.
The chief minister further said, “We have prepared a package of schemes and are working to execute them for the benefit of the residents. In the recently concluded ‘Aap Ki Yojna, Aap Ki Sarkar, Aap Ke Dwar’ programme, we sought applications from the public on the schemes of their choice. We have to exhort the people to reap the benefits of such government schemes.” Stressing that he will hold a state-level review of the schemes for timely execution, Soren added, “We made an effort to link the people with various jobs and have tried to raise their living standards also. Among the schemes, the officials should promote is animal husbandry, which will boost the rural economy.”
