JAIPUR: The Bharat Jodo Yatra will complete its 100 days this Friday. To mark the occasion, Himachal Pradesh Congress MLAs led by their chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will join the yatra in Dausa along with thousands of local supporters, to be followed by a press conference by Rahul Gandhi.
On the same day, a Bharat Jodo concert will be held in Jaipur, which will be attended by the Congress leader.
The yatra commenced from Kanyakumari on September 7 and has witnessed lakhs of people following Rahul in his journey. The yatra covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra and MP before entering Rajasthan earlier this month. During its 17 days' journey in Rajasthan, the yatra will cover nearly 500km before entering Haryana on December 21. The yatra is scheduled to conclude in J&K in February.
On Tuesday, the yatra resumed from Jeenapur and took a morning break at Soorwal Bypass, both in Sawai Madhopur district. During the day, chartered accountants, entrepreneurs and tribal youths joined the yatra in separate groups.

Rahul also met the representatives of several Dalit community organisations during the afternoon break. He listened to their pleas and asked chief minister Ashok Gehlot to address their grievances.
The response received during the yatra has elated the spirits of the Congress leaders. Speaking to the media on Tuesday, AICC general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, “The 100 days of the yatra on December 16 will be a milestone. The occasion will be celebrated with a concert in Jaipur where singer Sunidhi Chauhan will be present. Rahul Gandhi is also expected to take a detour from the yatra and join party workers in the celebrations.”
Four detained for trying to set fire to yatra camp: Sawai Madhopur police detained four persons on a Congress worker’s complaint that they were attempting to set one of the yatra camps on fire. Acting on the complaint of Gyan Chand Meena, police reached the spot and detained the accused. Police said prima facie personal rivalry appeared as the main camp was 500 metres away. A complaint has been registered and investigation is underway.
Slogans erased: Dausa district administration swung into action after ‘Rahul Gandhi go back’ slogans were found written on a road. Though the spot where these slogans were written were far from the yatra, administration officials reached the spot and erased those.(Above) Rahul Gandhi with Priyanka during the Bharat Jodo Yatra on Tuesday.
