Gas leak causes chaos in Barmer

Jaisalmer: There was commotion after gas leakage in a chemical godown near the bridge on Samdadi road in Balotra town of Barmer district and health of many people deteriorated. Six people including police personnel have been admitted to hospital. SDO and deputy SP reached the spot.
According to the information, gas leaked from a trailer parked at the chemical godown on Samdadi road on Sunday around 8pm. In this incident, the driver, cleaner and others at the spot felt breathless and ran away. After some time, the gas spread into the entire atmosphere due to which a few shopkeepers and roadside vendors near the godown felt dizzy and breathless and started screaming. People passing by immediately took them to Nahata Hospital. tnn
