Do not pressurize your kids

Children shouldn't be coerced into doing things they don't love. They should be given multiple choices and also the right to make their own decisions. While parents must lend a helping hand, they should NOT try and overpower their choices.

Avoid comparisons

Making comparisons between kids can take a toll on their confidence and self-esteem. TO be told, they're not good enough, not better or less than some other child, can demotivate them greatly.

Let kids be kids

Children are innocent and have a pure soul. So why not let them be the way they are.

Children should be allowed to make mistakes

Mistakes are inevitable. They cannot be avoided. Even adults make it, so why should kids be chided for the same. As parents, allow your children to make mistakes and let them learn from them.

Respect kids' private space

Kids need support, but what they also need is their own space. Their individuality should not be suppressed.

Treat each child equally

Whether it comes to introducing kids to opportunities or making them do household chores, it should all be done equally. There should not be any discrimination, based on their gender or their birth order.

Communication is key

Make sure children feel comfortable talking to you. They shouldn't feel scared or worried to come to you for solutions. Always keep doors open for them.
