Kashi courts defer hearing in all eight Gyanvapi cases
Varanasi: Hearing was deferred in all eight cases that came up for hearing before the courts of district judge, civil judge (senior division) and ACJM-V (MP-MLA).
While the court fixed December 19 as next date to hear the revision petition of the mosque management in the verdict pronounced on maintainability of the seeking right to worship the purported Shivling found in the mosque complex during a court-mandated survey on May 16. The six petitions seeking rights to worship the purported Shivling will now be heard on December 21 and 22. The MP / MLA court will hear on December 22 the case against Akhilesh Yadav and Asaduddin Owaisi related to their alleged remarks on the purported Shivling.
District government counsel (civil) Mahendra Prasad Pandey said, “Following a condolence meet in view of death of a lawyer ,no legal work took place and new dates in cases slated for hearing on Monday were issued.”
