PRAYAGRAJ: Success cannot be measured in monetary values but in the level of happiness, said Pradeep Rai, senior advocate of Supreme Court and vice-president of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), while addressing the International human rights conference here on Sunday. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Law of Allahabad University.
While laying emphasis on the happiness index, Pradeep Rai, who was guest of honour, cited the concept of happiness index of Bhutan and associated it with human rights. He dwelt upon the topic of conference "Human rights, past, present and future".
Another senior advocate of Supreme Court, Syed Imtiyaz Ali, who was guest of honour in the programme, introduced the audience about the "Biocracy as the part of universalisation of human rights", where he laid emphasis on the rights of other creatures like birds, animals, etc.
On the second day of the conference on Sunday, various aspects, dimensions of human rights and its evolution were discussed. Earlier, the welcome address was given by Prof JS Singh, the dean faculty of law. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof RK Chaubey, the head of department of law.
