Mike Leach, the Mississippi State University coach, was sent to the hospital on 11 December due to a “personal health issue” that the University did not disclose. It happened in his home in Starkville. His treatment was first carried out in a local hospital, but later, he was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Centre (UMMC), Jackson.

A source from UMMC, Mark Rolph, told the media that Mike Leach used to be a patient at the hospital. But it provided no updates about his current condition.

The Mississippi State University told the media that UMMC is nearly hundred and twenty-five miles from Mississippi State. The University said it could not reveal any more information on Mike Leach's condition. But they added that the wishes and prayers of the whole school are with Mike Leach and his family.
