BAJAJHIND(down 3.24%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 2.29%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 1.61%), Shree Renuka Sugars(down 1.53%), Balrampur Chini Mills(down 1.36%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 1.31%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 0.88%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 0.71%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.61%) and EID Parry(down 0.58%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 110.85 points up at 18608.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 402.73 points at 62533.3.
IndusInd Bank(up 2.34%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.75%), Infosys(up 1.61%), HCL Technologies(up 1.58%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.53%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.53%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.4%), Tata Consultancy(up 1.39%), Tech Mahindra(up 1.32%) and Bajaj Finserv(up 1.22%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Enterprises(down 1.34%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.83%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.82%), UPL Ltd(down 0.73%), Nestle India(down 0.48%), Tata Steel(down 0.45%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.45%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.43%), Coal India(down 0.37%) and Titan Company Ltd(down 0.34%) closed in the red.
