Woman booked for pushing teen into flesh trade, 4 men for ‘rape’
Ludhiana: Police on Monday booked a woman for pushing a minor girl into prostitution and four men for allegedly raping her.
The girl’s maternal aunt stayed in a rented accommodation which was owned by the accused woman. As the minor girl used to visit her aunt often, she had come in contact with the accused.

The matter came to light when four men allegedly raped the 15-year-old girl on Sunday after which her health deteriorated. When the girl disclosed this to her aunt, she lodged a complaint with the police.
Assistant commissioner of police (Industrial area-B) Sandeep Vadhera said the accused woman is into a prostitution business. The maternal aunt of the girl stayed at the place owned by the accused. Meanwhile, the woman lured the minor girl and pushed her into prostitution. On Sunday, four men allegedly raped the girl after which the girl got unwell.
The ACP said the police have registered a case against the woman under various sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act and four unidentified men under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and relevant sections of the Pocso Act.
