Bhadohi cops to attach ₹8.30cr property of Vijay Mishra’s nephew in Prayagraj dist
Varanasi: As a part of the ongoing drive against the economic empire of 9jailed mafia don and former MLA Vijay Mishra, the Bhadohi police has started the process for attachment of a three-storied building worth Rs 8.30 crore in the name of his nephew Manish Mishra in Prayagraj district.
On Monday, SP Bhadohi Anil Kumar said that under the ongoing drive against mafia and gangsters, a property purchased by Vijay Mishra in the name of his nephew and an active gang member Manish Mishra with illegally earned money had come to light in Baghambari Housing Scheme in Prayagraj. After identifying this property, which is a three-storied building of Rs 8.30 crore value, police have sent its report to the district magistrate Gauran Rathi.
On the report of the police, DM Bhadohi on Monday issued an order to attach this property in Prayagraj under Gangster Act, said Kumar adding, Manish Mishra is an active member of Vijay Mishra gang and 24 cases including of loot, kidnapping, property grabbing, extortion, fraudulent and others lodged against him while he had also been booked under Goonda Act and Gangster.
Vijay Mishra, who is lodged at Agra jail, has 83 criminal cases including of murder, loot, kidnapping, rape, fraud, extortion, property grabbing and others in his account, said police mentioning that before the property of Manish Mishra in Prayagraj is attached, the financial losses of Vijay Mishra, his family and gang members had already gone up to Rs 55 crore.
