Twitter's new chief, Elon Musk, may have a huge fan following on social media, but people in real life do not seem to approve of his ways. Musk was recently invited to the Dave Chappelle Show in San Francisco on Sunday, where he was loudly booed by a crowd as soon as he got on the stage. The comedian even joked that some of the people booing could be the Twitter employees, whom Musk fired unceremoniously in the latest round of layoffs conducted at Twitter. Interestingly, now Musk is trying to remove the video from Twitter but some users have saved it.

"Ladies and gentlemen, make some noise for the richest man in the world," comedian Dave Chappelle said as he welcomed Musk on the stage. As soon as Musk went up the stage, the crowd cheered and booed but the boos clearly won out, the footage posted on Twitter revealed. Gizmodo reported that the video was deleted from Twitter. However, the publication shared a link to the video. As Musk started pacing on the stage, the booing got louder.

"It sounds like some of the people you fired are in the audience," Chappelle joked."All these people who are booing, and I'm just pointing out the obvious, you have terrible seats," Chappelle tried to save Musk from the embarrassment caused by the crowd. As per Gizmodo, the audience was not allowed to carry phones inside the event, but some people secretly carried the phones and captured the footage where Musk was ruthlessly mocked by the audience.

Musk thanked Chappelle for inviting him to the show, but everytime he tried to speak, the crowd started booing loudly. Visually flustered by the booing, Musk then asked Chappelle what he should say.

Musk has been in the eye of the storm ever since he took over Twitter. He laid off the top executives on his second day, including the Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, Vijay Gadde, and Nel Segal. A couple of days into his new role, Musk fired close to 75 per cent of its workforce. Reports suggest that Musk has now hired some of his family members and even brought in some of the engineers from Tesla and The Boring Company to work at Twitter.
