KOLKATA: The 62-year-old woman, Munmun Paul, who was found dead in the garage of her house at Nagerbazar in Dum Dum on Sunday afternoon, had suffered fatal injuries caused by a hard and blunt object, the preliminary post-mortem report has revealed.
None has been arrested so far in connection with the murder. A gardener, a suspect in the murder, is yet to be traced. Cops suspect that the woman might have been bludgeoned to death by the assailants to rob the gold ornaments she was wearing. “The two deep injuries on the front and back of her head were caused by a blunt object,” stated the post-mortem report received by Nagerbazar police on Monday.
The woman used to stay in the house with her husband Amal Krishna, a former
IRS officer after the couple’s two daughters got married and moved abroad.
