Chargesheet filed against SP MLA, bro in arson case

Kanpur: A chargesheet has been filed on Saturday against SP MLA Irfan Solanki and his brother Rizwan in the Jajmau arson case.
A supplementary charge sheet will be filed after the arrest of the other accused.
Apart from this, the search for Ali, who had made fake Aadhaar, has also been intensified.
To recall, the police raided the residence of Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Irfan Solanki in Jajmau, late November 8 night after he had allegedly set afire a house of a woman located in the vicinity on November 7.
In the FIR, complainant Nazir Fatima had accused the SP MLA Irfan Solanki and his brother Rizwan of setting her house on fire.
After this, the police had also raided the MLAs residence, but he managed to flee. After remaining elusive for long, Irfan and Rizwan surrendered at the camp office of commissioner of police (CP) on December 2. Subsequently, they were arrested and sent to jail in judicial custody.
Joint commissioner of police Anand Prakash Tiwari said a charge sheet has been filed against the MLA and his brother. "Further action will be taken soon”, he added.
