A unique theatrical competition will kick off a nationwide quest to uncover the next musical theatre stars of the international blockbuster hit and uplifting show Mamma Mia!

ITV1 is preparing to air the brand-new eight-part series "Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream". "Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream" will look for two ingénues to play the roles of Sophie and Sky in Mamma Mia! at West End in London.

It will appear and feel unlike any previous talent competition on television since it will be shot against the breath-taking scenery of the lovely Greek islands, where the classic Mamma Mia! story is based. Special guest sector stars will guide the candidates through original workshops, and they will be judged by a panel of renowned industry professionals in both musical and theatre.

In addition, contestants will see Mamma Mia! in its entirety and will learn what it's like to work on a West End musical firsthand. The competition will conclude in a grand finale which will be aired live and in high definition from a theatre in London's West End.

Two winners will be chosen to play Sophie and Sky in the musical.

As the existing Sophie and Sky in London are making their West End debuts, Judy Craymer said that Mamma Mia has always motivated young actors and given opportunities to those making their stage debuts.
