Double-engine govt committed to making a 'healthy UP': CM Yogi Adityanath

VARANASI: Mentioning that Bharatiya Janata Party-led double engine government is fully committed to making a 'Healthy Uttar Pradesh', Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "All primary health centres will be connected with KGMU and SGPGI in order to equip them with facilities like tele-consultancy and telemedicine to provide advanced healthcare services."
While addressing valedictory session of the two-day conclave commemorating the 'Universal Coverage Day (UHC) 2022' in the presence of Union health and family welfare minister Mansukh Mandaviya, health officers from 22 states, health ministers of five states and 900 community health officers at Rudraksh international convention centre here on Sunday, CM Yogi emphasised the importance of advanced healthcare services in UP and said that all the PHCs are going to be equipped with facilities like tele-consultancy and telemedicine.
The CM said, "Health services must be linked with technology. Over 4,600 PHCs of the state will be linked with all medical colleges, district hospitals of the state as well as SGPGI and KGMU. For this, health workers of the state will also be specially trained."
