Nagpur: A jawan of Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) posted at WCL mines suffered three bullet wounds in head and stomach after goons fired at him in Kanhan. The incident took place at around 3.30pm on Sunday.
Kanhan police have identified the injured as Milind Saadhan Khobragade (29, a resident of Akola). With three bullet wounds, two in head and one in stomach, Khobragade is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kamptee, where his condition is stated to be critical.
The police have arrested two — Sameer Siddiqui (29, a resident of Kolari Tekdi) and Rahul Jacob (26, a resident of Kandri) in this connection.
According to police, a month ago Sameer had an argument with a security guard posted in Inder Colony area of WCL over some issue. After that, Sameer was looking for this jawan.
On Sunday while patrolling the mines, Khobragade spotted Sameer and Jacob moving suspiciously in the area on a motorcycle. He asked them to leave the place, which led to a dispute. Before Khobragade could understand anything, Sameer reportedly fired multiple rounds at him.
After committing the crime, the duo fled away. Kanhan police team reached the spot and rushed injured Khobragade to a private hospital. A police posse was deployed in the hospital premises to prevent any untoward incident.
