ACB arrests LRD jawan taking Rs 10,000 bribe in Patan

PALANPUR: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Patan held a Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) jawan attached to the Radhanpur police station for accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 on Sunday.
ACB inspector JP Solanki said that accused Parasbhai Chauhan had demanded Rs 10,000 in lieu of not harassing the complainant's father who was involved in an offence and also not to arrest the latter till he obtains an anticipatory bail.
Not willing to pay the amount, the complainant approached the ACB which laid a plan to catch the cop accepting the bribe.
ACB laid a trap near Rapariya Hanuman temple under the supervision of deputy director KH Gohil of ACB, border range, Bhuj. As designed, the complainant reached the area and ACB sleuths nabbed the accused red-handed with the amount.
