Chandigarh: Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa on Sunday said it was “irresponsible” of Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann to compare AAParty’s “humiliating defeat” in HP and Gujarat elections with India cricketer Virat Kohli’s performance.
Bajwa was referring to Mann’s address at an event organised by a private news channel, in which he had said “even Kohli does not score a century on a daily basis”.
“Virat Kohli is one of the greatest cricketers. He has made India proud on many occasions. Right after Mann’s inglorious statement, Kohli scored his 44th century in a one-day international against Bangladesh. It turned out to be a befitting response to Mann’s fake assertion,” said Bajwa. tnn
