Pakistan vs England 2nd Test Day 3 Highlights: Saud Shakeel and Imam-ul-Haq's hit fifties to keep Pakistan's hopes alive, heading into Day 4 of the ongoing second Test against England in Multan. At Stumps, Pakistan were 198/4 with Shakeel batting unbeaten on 54, while Imam was dismissed overs before the close of day's play on 60. This comes after Pakistan had started Day 3 on a positive note as Rizwan, who was promoted up the order, and Abdullah Shafique added 66 runs for the first wicket before Anderson gave England a breakthrough. Earlier, England were in command of the second Test against Pakistan in Multan on Saturday, leading by 281 at stumps on day two as they eyed a series-clinching win. The visitors were 202-5 in their second innings on a turning pitch -- which has seen 25 wickets fall in two days -- with the solid Harry Brook 74 not out, accompanied by skipper Ben Stokes on 16. PAK vs ENG Live
Now Pakistan bat deep but their batting is quite fragile, they would know one more big partnership is all they need to put England under huge pressure. For England, they will come out all fresh on Day 4 and also with the second new ball available in a few overs, they will believe they can record a famous win. Do join us to what promises to be an enthralling 4th and also could well be the last day of the Test. The action begins at 1015 IST (0515 GMT). The build-up begins a lot earlier. Till then, take care and goodbye!
It has been a day of fight backs. After bowling out England earlier in the day, Pakistan began really well with the bat. It was Rizwan who opened due to an injury to Imam and he along with Abdullah Shafique gave the hosts a good start. However, things changed immediately after Lunch as Pakistan lost three in no time and were pushed on the back foot. Saud and Imam though then put up a 100-plus stand with both scoring half tons to turn the tide in their side's favor. Pakistan surely would have ended the day on top had they not lost Imam but it was Leach who had the last laugh by getting the left-hander late in the day.
Well, the umpires yet again feel the light is not good enough to continue and off the players and the umpires go! THAT SHOULD BE STUMPS! This game is brilliantly poised for Day 4! Pakistan need 157 and England need 6 wickets. Probably England will feel they have the upper hand but we feel, Pakistan have a really good chance here.
Really good running! On the pads, this is clipped through square leg. Two taken.
Flatter this time and on middle, kept out.
On middle, Faheem blocks it.
On the pads, Faheem Ashraf works it to mid on.
Flatter and on off, this is pushed through covers for one.
Gives it a lot of air and lands it on middle, defended.
On off, Shakeel strokes it to covers and takes one.
