Rajasthan: Gandhis enjoy safari in Ranthambore

JAIPUR: The Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur posted a photo of former Congress presidents Sonia and Rahul Gandhi enjoying a safari in the reserve on Friday. The photos have been posted on the park's Instagram page and show the Congress leaders sitting in an open jeep. The timing or the zone has not been specified in the post.
The Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan, and is known for its large tiger population, which attracts tourists from all across the world. The photos of the Congress leaders are gaining traction, with likes and comments.
Sonia Gandhi is on a four-day visit to Rajasthan to celebrate her 76th birthday on Friday with her children Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi.
Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka also visited a handicraft shop and purchased some items.
“It is her personal visit and no leader is called or permitted to meet,” said a party leader.
Rahul Gandhi is leading the party's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', which is currently passing through the Kota district in Rajasthan. Rahul Gandhi rescheduled his rest day on Friday instead of Thursday as was scheduled to be with his mother to celebrate her birthday. The yatra will resume on Saturday. Rahul Gandhi flew to Ranthambore from Bundi in a chopper to be with his mother and sister Priyanka Gandhi.
