Drug peddler arrested, illegal smack worth ₹10 lakh seized

Prayagraj: A joint team of Georgetown police and special operation group (City) on Friday arrested a notorious drug peddler identifiedas Mukesh Kumar Nishad, a resident of Daraganj and seized 100 gram illegal smack worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1,760 cash from his possession. The arrest was made nearHaiza hospital road when accused was planning to dispose of drugs. A case undersection 8 \22 of NDPS was registered. Meanwhile, Nawabganj police have alsoarrested another drug peddler identified as Harendra Narayan Shukla, a residentof Nawabganj and seized 1.10 kg illegal ganja from their possession. tnn
