MUMBAI: A 64-year-old businessman wanted in an alleged Rs 5 crore cheque bouncing case was nabbed from Delhi after he failed to appear in court for a hearing, a Mumbai police official said on Saturday.
He was held from a hotel in the national capital after a Vikhroli court issued a proclamation against him for failing to attend hearings related to the case, the Santacruz police station official said.
"The Vikhroli court, where a person had filed a private cheque bouncing complaint, said we have to nab him since he resides in our jurisdiction. The businessman, who has an iron and steel unit, was produced before court after being brought from Delhi," the official added.
