SUV recovered within 24 hours of loot, 4 nabbed

Prayagraj: Within 24 hours after four miscreants looted an SUV on Manjhanpur–Chitrakoot state highway of Kaushambi district on Thursday, the police on Friday arrested all the accused and recovered the vehicle along with two country made pistols of 0.315 bore, four live cartridges, two bikes and four mobile phones.
The cops were able to solve the case swiftly with the help of CCTV footage of the incident reported near Visara village of Kaushambi. The miscreants were arrested by a police team near Shahzadpur road while planning to dispose of the SUV. An FIR under section 394 of IPC was registered in this connection. Police said the modus operandi of criminals is simple. They used to conduct recee before executing a crime. After recee, one of the miscreants purportedly dropped his bike before the targeted SUV and car while driving and others surrounded the car\SUV driver and later snatch the keys during the scuffle. tnn
