Equity benchmark Sensex ended the session down 389.01 points at 62181.67.
The top gainers included Narmada Gelatine(up 10.0%), Ltd.(up 9.99%), SBEC Sugar Ltd(up 9.99%), Ruttonsha Int(up 9.99%), Vipul Ltd(up 9.99%), RR Financial(up 9.98%), B-Right Realestate Ltd.(up 9.98%), Jyoti Ltd(up 9.93%), Benara Bearings(up 9.84%) and ARC Finance(up 9.09%) which surged over 5% in today's trade.
In the Nifty 50 index, stocks such as Nestle India(up 2.20%), (up 1.24%), Sun Pharma(up 1.23%), Dr. Reddys(up 1.17%) and Eicher Motors(up 1.08%) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty 50 index ended 112.75 points down at 18496.6.
Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 18 shares ended in the green, while 32 closed in the red.
