Stock market update: Nifty Realty index falls 0.78%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index closed on a negative note on Thursday.

Shares of Macrotech Developers(up 1.95 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Phoenix Mills(down 1.78 per cent), Indiabulls Real Estate(down 1.04 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.94 per cent), DLF(down 0.87 per cent) and Godrej Properties(down 0.83 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.78 per cent down at 454.35.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 48.85 points at 18609.35, while the BSE Sensex stood up 160.0 points at 62570.68.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 ended in the green, while 23 closed in the red.

Shares of , PNB, Central Bank, and were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of , Dharmaj Crop Guard Ltd., Central Bank, and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , DJ Mediaprint & Logi, , and hit their fresh 52-week lows.
