Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Thursday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Next Mediaworks(up 19.97%) and Madhav Infra Proj(up 15.37%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 67.41 points up at 62478.09, while the 50-share index, NSE was 17.95 points up at 18578.45.
In the Nifty50 index, 24 stocks traded in the green, while 24 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as , Ltd., , B-Right Realestate Ltd. and hit their fresh 52-week high, while Gala Global Prod and Nirvikara Paper Mill touched their new 52-week low during the session.
