2 kids fall into midday meal starch tub, die

DALTONGANJ: Two minor daughters of a migrant worker died of burn injuries they suffered when they fell into a tub of hot starch which was left in the open after boiling rice for the midday meal in Chechani government primary school.
Both the girls died between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning at the burn ward of Ranchi-based Rims, officials said on Wednesday. They were admitted to Rims on November 26.
The victims were identified as Shubu Kumari (4) and Beauty Kumari (2. 5 years), daughters of Permeshwar Sao of Chechani village under Tarhassi block in Palamu district.
