Ranchi: Two days after the senior RJD leaders warned the state government that they would not take it lightly if the government continues to neglect their party in political and policy matters, the administration has withdrawn their security on Tuesday.
The decision has caused resentment among the RJD leaders who said the step is directly related to the dissatisfaction shown by the leaders.
RJD state president and former MLA Sanjay Singh Yadav confirmed the development saying that his security guards have been withdrawn on Tuesday night. He said that he was provided security by various state governments since 1985.
He said, “I would not like to comment on the reasons behind withdrawal of the security."
Similarly, the guards of RJD principal secretary Sanjay Prasad Yadav have also been withdrawn. Both had two armed guards.
It may be stated here that the RJD state president on Monday said, “I want to advise the chief minister (CM) that he has to coordinate with the RJD leaders on important matters related to the state.”
He said that RJD had made sacrifices during seat-sharing agreement to enable the formation of the current government.
The principal general secretary, Sanjay Prasad, had said that as part of the alliance, the RJD should get its say in decision making process. He said that the state government was not giving value to RJD and the step-motherly treatment was unacceptable.
RJD had on November 5 stayed away from the mahagathbadhan agitation against misuse of central agencies by BJP-led government while voicing resentment against the alleged neglect by the JMM and the Congress.
Though only RJD MLA Satyanand Bhokta, who is also a member of the Hemant Soren cabinet, participated in the Sarkar Aapke Dwar programes hosted by the government, RJD had expressed its reservations against joining the Aabhar Yatra.
