Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged all parties to "understand the pain of new MPs" and avoid disruptions in parliament as the winter session started today.
"The young MPs look disheartened when there are disruptions in the house. When there is chaos then we lose out. It is important for the house to run," PM Modi told reporters.
All parties should give young members a chance to participate in debates for their bright future, the PM said.
"Even the opposition agrees that the house should run. I hope that floor leaders of all parties will understand the pain of (young) MPs. I appeal to all parties and MPs to make the session productive," said the Prime Minister.
PM Modi also spoke about India's leadership of G20, saying it is "not merely a diplomatic event but a chance to showcase the country's strength".
