Karnataka refuses to renew licences of 2 cab aggregators
BENGALURU: The Karnataka State Transport Authority on Tuesday refused to renew the cab aggregator licences of Ola and Uber as they haven’t complied with rules, including installation of GPS devices, panic buttons and displays of driver details.
The licence of ANI Technologies (which operates Ola) expired on June 19, 2021. Uber’s licence lapsed on December 30, 2021. Yet, both have been running cabs and autorickshaws without licences.
