According to a Sussex Police spokesman, a 35-year-old man was held on suspicion of stalking and released on police bail while inquiries are ongoing. On Monday, his representative claimed that he had been questioned and released the same evening. A statement claims that Kieran assisted the police in their investigations.

No charges on Kieran

According to sources, no more action is expected. Kieran was detained by Worthing police yesterday afternoon and later released without being punished.

Twitter's recent move of removing millions of suspicious account in its battle against fake new has led to many celebrities, politicians and social media influencers losing followers.

The move didn't spare Twitter's own account either, as the social media's official handle lost about 12 percent of its total followers - about 7.7 million.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey also tweeted about his following being knocked down since the move. The tech boss lost about 200k followers.

As a result of Twitter's sanitising move, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lost nearly 300,000 followers while Congress Party President Rahul Gandhi lost over 17,000 followers. Modi's followers went down from 43.4 million to 43.1 million.

The official handle of the PMO (@PMOIndia) lost 140,635 followers.

US President Donald Trump who recently became the most followed world leader on Twitter around 53.4 million followers, lost 100,000 followers. An earlier report indicated that Trump's followers had "more than doubled since taking office".

Former-US President Barack Obama too had his following drop by about 400,000.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's extended family on Twitter dropped by over 424,000. Earlier this year, Bachchan, one of the most widely followed Indian celebrities on the platform, had threatened to quit Twitter, accusing the micro-blogging website of reducing his followers.
