Boys basketball roundup: Cros-Lex, Peck cruise on opening night

Here are some notable results from Tuesday's boys basketball games in the Blue Water Area.

Clinton Township Clintondale 55, Almont 43

Clay Roszczewski scored a team-high 18 points for the Raiders, who fell to 0-1. Marko Radisavljevic chipped in 11 points for Almont.

The Raiders will try to regroup when they host Dryden at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Croswell-Lexington 59, Marysville 8

The Pioneers led 23-2 after the first quarter and never looked back. Donovan McDonald led the way for Croswell-Lexington (1-0) with 13 points. Trey Kolakovich added 10 points.

Jake Dysinger and RJ Clark each had three points for Marysville (0-1).

Both teams are back in action Friday at 7 p.m. The Pioneers travel to Grosse Pointe North while the Vikings will visit Madison Heights Bishop Foley.

Ecorse 91, Imlay City 56

Despite the loss, three Spartans (0-1) finished in double figures. Beau Hund led the way for Imlay City with 17 points and made three triples. Zander Nash contributed 11 points and Andrew Cezik added 10.

Up next for the Spartans is a matchup against Deckerville in the Harry Moore Classic on Friday. That game is at Capac High School and will tipoff at 6 p.m.

Peck 55, Akron-Fairgrove 42

The Pirates (1-0) opened the season with a road victory. Dalton Sempf scored a team-high 20 points. Carsten Lielblang finished with nine points while Alex Affer had nine points and 11 rebounds. Steve VanConant chipped in eight points and 12 boards.

Peck is idle until it visits Armada at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Armada 79, Madison Heights Lamphere 66 (Monday)

Speaking of the Tigers, they improved to 1-0 with a double-digit victory over the Rams. Andrew Sniesak posted a team-high 19 points for Armada.

Camden Khon and Riley Andrews each had 17 points, with Andrews hitting five 3-pointers. Justin Schapman added 16 points.

The Tigers don't play again until Monday's matchup with Peck.

Memphis 59, Kimball Landmark Academy 39 (Monday)

Donovan Schuster finished with 19 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Yellowjackets, who improved to 1-0. Cody Rembowski notched a 17-point, 16-rebound double-double while Chase O'Connor contributed 12 points, four assists and four steals.

The Lakers (0-1) were led by Cody Ferguson's 23 points. Jayden Mertz chipped in seven points and Quinton Sanchez added four.

Both teams are back in action on the road Wednesday. Landmark Academy visits Marlette at 7 p.m. while Memphis travels to Caro at 7:30 p.m.
