Accused got arms a wk before Theth’s murder
Jaipur: Sikar police investigating the Raju Theth murder case on Tuesday stated that the preliminary investigation suggested that the arms and ammunition reached the assailants merely a week prior to the firing.
Police are now trying to find those who provided arms to the arrested four accused and detained juvenile who allegedly executed the murder. Police stated that more arrests are likely in this case in the coming days.
Theth was gunned down by five assailants outside his house on Saturday morning. On Sunday police managed to arrest four persons and had detained a juvenile in this connection.
“As it is found that the three out of the four accused were staying at a paying guest hostel since November 6, it is also found that they were not having any arms while staying at the hostel. In the interrogation it is found that arms including pistols and fire rounds were provided to them just a week prior to the murder,” said Kunwar Rastradeep, Superintendent of police, Sikar told TOI.
He added that the accused are being interrogated to know who were the persons behind supplying them the arms and who all were actually directing them prior to the murder. “Many names are being speculated but it is a matter of investigations. Our investigation is now on from where they got the arms and who was behind the planning of the murder. They(accused) are hard nut to be cracked our teams are interrogating them,” Rastradeep added.
