Hindustan Foods(down 4.00%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 2.64%), ADF Foods(down 2.61%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 2.42%), Parag Milk(down 2.02%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 1.70%), Zydus Wellness(down 1.32%), Dodla Dairy(down 1.26%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.07%) and Vadilal Industries(down 0.96%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 82.25 points down at 18560.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 215.68 points at 62410.68.
Asian Paints(up 2.05%), Hindustan Unilever(up 1.99%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.77%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.46%), Axis Bank(up 1.11%), ITC(up 0.83%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.28%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.21%) and Bharti Airtel(up 0.08%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, NTPC(down 1.91%), SBI Life(down 1.79%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.75%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.64%), Tata Motors(down 1.64%), Bajaj Auto(down 1.63%), Tata Steel(down 1.55%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.53%), Reliance Industries(down 1.48%) and Hero MotoCorp(down 1.4%) closed in the red.
