Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Nitco(20.0%), Landmark Prop(20.0%), Sulabh Engineer(20.0%), Agri-Tech(India)(19.98%), B-Right Realestate Ltd.(19.97%), Kanani Inds(19.96%), Raj Television(19.96%), Transcorp Intnl(19.94%), .(19.9%) and Kanpur Plastip(19.89%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 215.68 points down at 62410.68, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 82.25 points down at 18560.5.
In the Nifty50 index, 9 stocks closed in the green, while 40 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as , , , Aditya Consumer Mark and hit their fresh 52-week high, while , Add-Shop E-Retail and Future Consumer touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
