4 die as truck falls into Mizoram gorge

AIZAWL: Four persons, incuding the driver, travelling in a pickup truck were killed when the vehicle rolled down a gorge near Thingfal village in Mizoram's Lunglei district early on Sunday.
Police said the accident reportedly occurred at 3.30am when the driver, John (21), dozed off. The others who were killed in the accident were Lalbahadur (25), Lalremtluanga (21) and Eliza (11), all belonging to Sabualtlang village in southernmost Mizoram's Lawngtlai district. The vehicle rolled down 250 metres into the gorge when it was proceeding towards Sabualtlang village from Aizawl.
