JMC-H makes plan to boost swachh ranking
Jaipur: After poor ranking this year, JMC-Heritage has started working for the next Swachh Survekshan survey. The mayor and commissioner took a meeting with officials on Friday and identified areas where work is needed.
For the next year, the corporation is focusing on improving cleanliness of roads and curbing open defecation in the city. After the review meeting, mayor Munesh Gurjar said, “The Swachh Survekshan survey is important for the city and to improve our ranking all officials must focus on daily tasks. Officers must make frequent field visits, interact with public representatives, public and respond positively to their suggestions.”
The mayor asked the deputy commissioners, chief health inspectors and health inspectors to check the attendance register of cleaning staff and ensure whether the cleaning work is being done properly or not.
“There should be regular geo tagging of areas cleaned along with number of deployment of staff on the spot. Officials must start taking photos and sending them to the headquarters,” added the mayor.
Commissioner Vishram Meena said that the Swachh Survekshan-2023 will be out of 9500 marks with three different components.
“The first component is of 4525 marks under which all the officers will together prepare the documentation work for different cleanliness parameters, second certification will be of 2500 marks and in this ODF plus plus and star rating will be determined and third will be of citizen feedback,” said Meena.
He directed zone deputy commissioners, additional chief engineers, chief health officers, revenue officers, executive engineers to go to the field and increase citizen feedback while conducting their own research to find out about the issues of the public.
