Couple held for killing senior citizen in Thane

THANE: The police have arrested a couple for allegedly beating a senior citizen to death in Diva near Mumbra over a petty issue.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammad Khan, 25, and his wife Reshma khan, 30. The deceased has been identified as Abhimanyu Patil, 65, a resident of Mumbradevi Colony of Diva in Mumbra, said Shahji Shelke, the assistant police inspector.
The incident occurred around 9.30pm near Patil's house, when upon seeing that the accused are using his storage room without his permission he raised an alarm. Following this the couple started arguing with him and assaulted him with an iron rod.
