Reminiscing on his past experiences with the film festival, the Corentin’s Quest filmmaker told ANI, "The festival was so nicely arranged this year. I have attended IFFI for the past 25 years and there is always some problem with the arrangement. This time the festival was in the true sense of the word an 'international festival'". "That single incident at the closing ceremony ruined the entire mood of the festival," Sen added, referring to the moment Lapid took to the stage to criticize the Anupam Kher-starrer.
Meanwhile, the teaser of Sen’s film The Kerala Story came under fire as it claimed that 32,000 girls from the state went missing and later joined the terrorist group, ISIS. Speaking to ANI about the claim, the filmmaker said, "I said 32,000 girls went missing. If you go to northern Kerala, to areas like Kasargod or Mallapuram, you will find locals claiming the numbers to be as high as 50,000. Why and how it happened, that’s what the film is about. I can’t reveal the whole story of the film just yet. I have also personally talked to the NIA. Give me some time I will give you all answers." The film is set to release next year.
