Man tries to jump from building in Dombivli, saved by fire brigade

KALYAN: The fire brigade saved a 27-year-old man from commiting suicide by jumping from the ledge of a window on 12th floor in a building in Dombivli on Thursday.
The incident took place in posh Palava Township in Dombivli, where Aniket Pawar was residing in Orchid building in a rented flat.
One of the teams struck a conversation with him while another team went on the terrace of the building and pulled him to safety.
The fire brigade official said the man was depressed after losing his job. His wife had reportedly deserted him too.
The incident took place at around 7.30pm. Residents were surprised on seeing him at the terrace and informed the fire brigade team as well as Manpada police.
Pawar was taken to police station where his relatives were also called. He was later allowed to go home.
