    Russia Ukraine Crisis Live News Updates: The Group of Seven (G7) nations and Australia said they had agreed a $60 per barrel price cap on Russian seaborne crude oil after European Union members overcame resistance from Poland and hammered out a political agreement earlier in the day.The EU agreed the price after holdout Poland gave its support, paving the way for formal approval over the weekend.The G7 and Australia said in a statement the price cap would take effect on Dec. 5 or very soon thereafter.The nations said they anticipated that any revision of the price would include a form of grandfathering to allow compliant transactions concluded before the change."The Price Cap Coalition may also consider further action to ensure the effectiveness of the price cap," the statement read. No details were immediately available on what further actions could be taken.The price cap, a G7 idea, aims to reduce Russia's income from selling oil, while preventing a spike in global oil prices after an EU embargo on Russian crude takes effect on Dec. 5.

    Punjab Police arrest Bishnoi Gang member with 20 pistols

    • Punjab Police's Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) on Friday arrested a member of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang from old Ambala road Dhakoli.
    • Bunty, a resident of Jain Chowk in the Bhiwani district of Haryana, was an inter-state weapon smuggler and was nabbed from the Dhakoli area on the old Ambala road in Mohali district's Zirakpur with 20 pistols in his possession.
    • Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said the preliminary investigation has revealed that Bunty is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and was tasked to deliver the consignment of weapons to the members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang on the directions of foreign-based gangster Satinderjit Singh Brar alias Goldy Brar.

    US says Swiss engineering group ABB to pay over $315 million to resolve bribery case

    • Swiss engineering and technology group ABB has agreed to pay more than $315 million to resolve an investigation into a bribery case at a South African state-owned energy company, the U.S. Justice Department said on Friday.
    • The Justice Department said its resolution was coordinated with prosecutorial authorities in South Africa and Switzerland, as well as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
    • ABB subsidiaries also pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the anti-bribery provisions of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the Justice Department said in a statement.
    • ABB was investigated for and found guilty of improper payments and other compliance issues at the Kusile power station, in a wide-scale investigation into state corruption concluded in June 2022.
