GREATER NOIDA: After Korea and Japan, the Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is set to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Taiwan over a host of collaborative programmes, which include setting up of a Mandarin teaching centre to a Taiwan Education Centre (TECC) which will help facilitate information regarding study in Taiwan, available scholarships, internships opportunities among others.
A preliminary meeting in this regard was held between officials of Taiwan and GBU in Greater Noida recently.
“Peters LY Chen, director of education division in the ministry of education Taiwan, Republic of China (ROC), visited the GBU campus on Thursday with the aim to familiarise students with Taiwan’s job market, education system and society. He also informed the officials that Taiwan’s TECC has signed MoUs with a good number of educational institutions in India for teaching Mandarin and setting up TECCs,” said professor Ravindra Kumar Sinha, GBU vice chancellor.Sinha informed that the collaboration with TECC can be done in areas like science and technology.
