Wardha nurse accuses doctor of molestation

Wardha: Local Ramnagar police have registered a case of molestation against a BAMS doctor after a 20-year-old intern nurse lodged a complaint on Thursday. The doctor is reportedly absconding.
According to information, the nurse reached Ramnagar police station on Thursday morning and claimed Dr Yashwant Hiwanj called her to his cabin in the clinic on some pretext. “The doctor talked about a profit of Rs5,000, kissed me on hand and tried to hug me,” the nurse alleged. The nurse claimed that the doctor had molested her several times earlier also, but she didn’t complain.
The police have registered a case under Section 354 of IPC and investigation is on.
Dr Hiwanj runs Yash hospital at Karla Square and has been practising for the last two decades.
