Berhampur: Road communication in southern Odisha districts has been partially hit as the state-owned Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) suspended its bus services on 45 routes from Friday till December 8, as the CPI (Maoist) will observe the Peoples Liberal Guerilla Army (PLGA) week during this period.
The OSRTC suspended its services on four routes from Berhampur, Phulbani (4), Paralakhemundi (3), Malkangiri (8), Jeypore (18), Rayagada (1), Nabarangpur (4), Bhawanipatna (4), Bhanjanagar (4), Bhubaneswar (3), Cuttack (3), Sambalpur (1) and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh (4), said a senior officer of the corporation. The services have been stopped as a precautionary measure after Maoists allegedly burnt down four buses in Gajapati on December 28, 2009.
