MoU for handicraft training centre

Bokaro: The management of Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) on Friday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a non-profit organisation, LIMS-ESAF Foundation, for setting up a handicraft training centre here.
The centre will train women and youth in the villages around Bokaro to open up scopes of self-employment opportunities for them, the PSU said in a statement. Under the provisions of the MoU, the centre will be set up at the Bokaro Ispat Vidyalaya in the Sector 2D area of the BSL township and will also have a showroom where handicraft items will be put up for sale. The school building, where the centre will come up, has been lying unused for three years. TNN
