Thane: Man wanted for attempt to murder held

THANE: The city crime branch has arrested a 24-year-old youth wanted in an attempt to murder case and absconding for the last seven months. Accused Wasim Salim Khan is a resident of Sanjay nagar area in Mumbra.
“Based on a tip off, the crime branch team in plain clothes kept a watch near Sanjay nagar. As soon as he arrived, the cops intercepted him and pinned him down. Subsequently he was arrested and handed over to the Mumbra police. A police officer said, “Khan was upset with a friend who had stopped talking to him. He tried to question him, but in vain and hence in a fit of rage stabbed him. His friends tried to intervene but he flashed the knife at them too.”
