Union civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party, claiming it was no more a party of common people and should change its name to Diwan-e-Khas Party. Speaking at a road show on a truck on Mandoli Road in east Delhi, the BJP minister said, “When it comes to development, not just in India but in the world, you will not get a better person than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. ”

East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir on Wednesday said that community kitchens, similar to ones opened by him in East Delhi, would be opened in entire Delhi if the party comes to power in the civic body. Each constituency will have one such canteen, he added.

"Look at the work done by BJP-led MCD," quipped chief minister Arvind Kejriwal when a bull suddenly appeared at his rally and interrupted his speech at Malka Ganj on Wednesday.Kejriwal, however, turned his attention from the bull to public hygiene. "This election is about cleanliness. The BJP-led MCD has clogged the city's sewers and filled the lanes with garbage. To woo the urban voters ahead of the high-stake municipal polls in the capital, Union housing and urban affairs minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Wednesday said the Centre had incorporated the provision of regeneration and redevelopment of old houses and group housing societies in Delhi Master Plan of 2041 and proposed to increase the floor area ratio. Addressing a press conference at the BJP headquarters along with the party MPs from Delhi, Puri said once the new master plan was implemented, residents would be able to make additional construction and add dwelling units and toilets to cater to bigger families, while the housing societies could have improved layouts and bigger parking lots.
