Varanasi: Retired RPF sub-inspector Jillu Yadav, who had fought convicted Pakistani terrorist
Ajmal Kasab and his associate Abu Ismail at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) by firing at them after snatching a rifle from a GRP personnel on November 26, 2008, passed away following cardiac arrest at his residence in Mohav area of Cholapur here on Tuesday evening.
The mortal remains of Yadav were consigned to flames at Manikarnika Ghat on Tuesday late night, said his brother Mahendra Yadav on Wednesday. His youngest son Rakesh Yadav lit the pyre after the funeral procession, which was attended by hundreds of people from Cholapur area.
