3-yr jail term for ex-IAS officer

Bhubaneswar: A vigilance court on Wednesday sentenced former IAS officer Vinod Kumar, who was convicted in four corruption cases, to undergo three years of imprisonment in connection with another case registered against him in 2006. The court also convicted five others, including a builder.
Kumar, the then managing director of Orissa Rural Housing Development Corporation, had disbursed over Rs 18 lakh loan fraudulently in 2006, a vigilance official said.TNN
